Our Mission:

Teaching life skills through culinary arts, while also exposing learners to the endless opportunities in the food and beverage industry.

Build Pathways With Us

The Transition Kitchen Foundation relies on the powerful support of community leaders, businesses, and philanthropic organizations. By partnering with us, you directly fund essential student needs—from securing mandatory base wages for on-the-job training to providing critical certifications and program supplies.

"Empowering our community, one student at a time."

The Need

Las Vegas boasts one of the most competitive hospitality markets in the world, yet marginalized communities—including youth seeking direction, justice-impacted individuals, and adults in addiction recovery—face immense barriers to entry. There is a critical shortage of trained, disciplined, and certified professionals ready to step into these high-demand roles. We bridge that gap by turning raw potential into operational excellence.

The Earning Potential

We don't just teach culinary arts; we build economic mobility. Every graduate leaves with a national ServSafe credential and local SNHD permitting. By aligning with local workforce pathways, our graduates can rapidly secure stable roles offering $20 to $25+ per hour with comprehensive benefits. Furthermore, our Micro-Business Development track empowers entrepreneurial graduates to launch their own catering and food truck concepts.

Equipment & Supplies Donations

Help us stock the Transition Kitchen and the Stew Stix Cafe! We gladly accept commercial-grade kitchen equipment, fresh ingredients, professional knife rolls, and chef uniforms. These vital donations directly offset our operational budget, allowing us to redirect more funds into student wages and job placement.

Budget Reinvestment In-kind equipment offsets allow us to inject 100% of saved capital directly into OJT student paychecks.

In-Kind & Volunteer Instruction

The backbone of our micro-business and culinary training is real-world expertise. We are actively seeking guest chefs, business management professionals, financial educators, and marketing experts to lead rotating workshops and offer mentorship to our students.

Mentorship Matters Students paired with industry-active mentors are 50% more likely to secure and retain long-term roles.
